Illusion

Magic occupies the shadowland between what we see and what we think we see. Case in point: Look at the photo above. It’s a black-and-white image; it contains no color information. Now click the photo and look at the altered image. (Note: JavaScript must be enabled in your browser.) Focus your eyes on the black dot at the center of the blue-and-green image. Stare at the dot for ten seconds, then click the image again, keeping your eyes fixed on the black dot in the center. You will see a color photo! If you shift your eyes away from the dot, the color will vanish!
